ABLE visited 2 leading rehabilitation centres in the UK

The team at ABLE Human Motion had the pleasure of visiting STEPS Rehabilitation Ltd in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

It was a beautiful facility and we were impressed by the care and design put into it. We also had the opportunity to witness how this rehab centre uses neurorehabilitation technology. STEPS and ABLEHumanMotion share a common goal – to fill real needs in the rehabilitation process for people with neurological injuries. We are honoured to be working with such an incredible organization and we look forward to future collaborations.

During our visit, we were able to test our ABLE Exoskeleton with three clients and received valuable feedback from both clients and physiotherapists. We want to extend a special thank you to those clients for trusting us and our device, and for providing feedback. We also want to express our gratitude to therapists Laurissa Ziade, Jamie Storey and Amy Hartley for their support during the sessions. And Toria Chan for facilitating the visit.

Part II of our UK visit took us to Hobbs Rehabilitation in Bristol. As always, we were delighted to work with Hobbs, whose continuous feedback and ideas have been a major influence on the design of the ABLE Exoskeleton. During our visit, we explored adapting the device for different pathologies such as multiple sclerosis. We are excited about future co-creation opportunities and cannot wait to share them with you.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Amy Dennis-Jones for facilitating the visit and for all of her support. To Helen H. (and the entire Hobbs team!) for their ongoing support and engagement. And to Louis Martinelli for providing his expertise on exoskeletons. We are also thankful to the volunteers who tried the ABLE Exoskeleton. Your trust, encouragement, and feedback are much appreciated.
