Paolo Bonato, PhD
Paolo serves as Director of the Motion Analysis Lab. at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (Boston, USA). He is an Associate Prof. in the Dept. of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School, an Adjunct Prof. at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and an Associate Faculty Member at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. His research work is focused on the development of rehabilitation technologies with special emphasis on wearable technology and robotics. Dr. Bonato served as the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Journal on NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation. Dr. Bonato’s work has received approximately 7.000 citations.

He worked as an R&D Engineer at Focal Meditech (The Netherlands), a leading company in assistive technology. Joan also worked with Prof. David Reinkensmeyer as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the BioRobotics Lab, University of California Irvine (USA).
