Exoskeletons can help persons with physical disabilities due to spinal cord injury or stroke to regain mobility, increasing independence and rehabilitating earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the beginning of this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ablehumanmotion.com\/able-human-motion-team\/\">Josep Maria Font<\/a>, Director of the Biomechanical Engineering Lab (BIOMEC) at Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and Co-founder and Scientific Director of ABLE Human Motion, gave a talk at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tedxbarcelona.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"TEDxBarcelona (opens in a new tab)\">TEDxBarcelona<\/a> focused on the current state of exoskeleton technology, its applications and the pending challenges for the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He discussed the clinical evidence on the benefits in rehabilitation and future challenges and trends. He also presented the story of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ablehumanmotion.com\/able-exoskeleton\/\">ABLE project<\/a>, from the first steps at the BIOMEC-UPC research group to the creation and valorization process of the startup ABLE Human Motion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His conference is open-access and easily accessible on YouTube.
