Our company is very excited to celebrate its first five years, happy 5th birthday ABLE!<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Alfons Carnicero, Alex Garcia,\u00a0 and Josep Maria created the company on October 30th, 2018 with a clear objective: improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and <\/span>democratizing robotic exoskeletons.<\/span> \u00a0Now this dream is a bit closer: over 200 people have been able to walk again thanks to our exoskeletons so far, and we have pre-sold already the first 10 devices to clinics and rehabilitation centers -while we wait for the CE-mark certification as a medical device, that we aim to receive soon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 5-year celebration took place on the 31st of October 2023, in our new facilities located at Parc Tecnol\u00f2gic Barcelona Activa, in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona. The whole team proudly organised and was part of different activities, to make sure our guests had the best time and to show them our gratitude. At the entrance, we welcomed them with a glass of cava, and we also offered them a big variety of snacks and drinks. Alfons, our CEO, made an emotional speech that was followed by demonstrations of our exoskeletons led by our Clinical Specialist, Helena L\u00f3pez.<\/span><\/p>\n

Guided tours around our new facilities were also available for everyone who had the curiosity to see where we work and will manufacture our first exoskeletons. In our facilities, we showed them the production area and a museum we have built with the history of the company, including the different prototypes that we built until we achieved the final product, as well as the awards and recognitions we received over the last years. There was also the possibility to buy ABLE merchandise like T-shirts and sweatshirts. And a Halloween-themed face-painting workshop for the most daring ones!<\/span><\/p>\n

On this special occasion, we want to thank all our pilots who have been involved during the development of the exoskeleton, trying our prototypes and giving us feedback to improve our technology. We also want to thank all the hospitals and rehabilitation clinics that have collaborated with us through all these years, trying new prototypes and conducting clinical trials to validate our exoskeleton. Thanks to Institut Guttmann, Heidelberg University Hospital, Hospital Asepeyo Sant Cugat, European Neuroscience Center (CEN), Sint Maartensliniek Hospital, Hobbs Rehabilitation, Vall d\u2019Hebron, Hospital Parapl\u00e9jicos de Toledo, and many more. And also thanks to all our investors who have made this possible!<\/span><\/p>\n

ABLE is ready for the next five years, and beyond, as we continue achieving important milestones and helping many people with disabilities to improve their rehabilitation, quality of life and health!<\/strong><\/p>\n
