ABLE Human Motion was founded in October 2018 by 2 engineering classmates (Alfons Carnicero and Alex Garcia) and a professor of mechanical engineering (Josep M. Font) that aimed to help people with mobility impairments through game-changing technology. The company is a spin-off of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), created after several years of research and development by the Biomechanical Engineering Lab. Here’s a summary of our story:
CE marking as a medical device of ABLE Exoskeleton, our first commercial exoskeleton for clinical use.
ABLE Exoskeleton tested by +200 individuals with spinal cord injury, that walked +400,000 steps.
Clinical trial on safety and performance of the ABLE Exoskeleton (hip-knee powered) conducted at Asepeyo Hospital.
