Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Barcelona, Spain (incorporation in September 2026)

About Us: We are a pioneering start-up that creates lightweight, quick-to-adjust, and accessible robotic exoskeletons for rehabilitation. Our mission is to democratize access to this technology, improving rehabilitation, health and quality of life for millions of people with mobility impairments.

Position Overview: We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to the design and development of next-generation robotic exoskeletons for healthcare applications.

Responsabilities

Design parts and components for robotic exoskeleton prototypes with demanding constraints in terms of weight, strength and manufacturing cost.
Analyse the current design and participate in iterative design cycles.
Perform engineering calculations or mechanical simulations to ensure the design meets the required specifications.
Develop manufacturing and assembly processes.
Create and review technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial or a related field.
Experience in complex mechanical designs integrating sensors, motors and electronics.
Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), including aluminium machining, tube extrusion, laser cutting, sheet metal bending, carbon fibre and 3D printing.
Experience using SolidWorks CAD software and HyperMesh (Altair) mechanical simulation software, or similar.
High-performing individual, capable of working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Participation in university engineering projects such as Formula Student is a plus.
