From October 17 to 19, 2024, we had the honour of participating in the 2024 Congress of Paraplegia in Toledo, a key event for spinal cord injury research and treatment. Organized by the Spanish Society of Paraplegia (SEP) and the Spanish Association of Nursing Specialized in Spinal Cord Injury (ASELME), the congress celebrated the 50th anniversary of the National Hospital for Paraplegics, a leader in spinal cord injury care.
Throughout the three-day event, we showcased our robotic exoskeleton with live demonstrations by our pilot, Susana Rodríguez, who walked through the exhibition area, drawing the attention of attending professionals.
Our Symposium at the 2024 Congress of Paraplegia
During this year’s Congress of Paraplegia, we hosted a symposium titled “Use of Robotics in Different Phases of Rehabilitation: Present and Future,” aimed at highlighting the importance of technology in the rehabilitation processes of neurological patients.
The session featured three renowned speakers: Dr. Lluïsa Montesinos Magraner (Head of the Spinal Cord Injury Unit at Vall d’Hebron Hospital and President of the Spanish Society of Paraplegia), Dr. José Estay Girardi (Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Hospital Asepeyo Sant Cugat), and Cristina Vázquez (Physiotherapist and Co-founder of the European Neuroscience Center). These experts shared their experiences with advanced rehabilitation technologies, offering varied perspectives on therapeutic approaches and clinical needs.
In addition to our symposium, this edition of the Congress of Paraplegia allowed us to connect with professionals and industry leaders, establishing new partnerships to continue innovating in the field of assisted mobility. Discussions with other experts provided valuable insights into how we can further improve our solutions and adapt them to the real needs of patients and clinicians.
The congress was not only an opportunity to share our progress but also to reaffirm our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in the treatment of spinal cord injuries. We are excited to continue collaborating with the SEP and ASELME communities to build a better future for patients.
