From September 22 to 25, ABLE Human Motion participated in the 63rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS) in Antwerp, Belgium. This prestigious event brought together experts in spinal cord injury (SCI) treatment and research, providing a platform to showcase cutting-edge solutions like the ABLE Exoskeleton.
Our team was represented by Katlin, Product Manager; Mona, Clinical Specialist; and Alfons, our CEO. Throughout the congress, we engaged with specialists and professionals in the field, discussing the advancements and practical benefits of the ABLE Exoskeleton for individuals with spinal cord injuries.
A special highlight of our participation was the live demonstration conducted in collaboration with the To Walk Again center. A dedicated patient from the center joined us to demonstrate the ABLE Exoskeleton’s capabilities, making over 3,000 steps through the event’s hallways. This powerful demonstration not only showcased the technical capabilities of our robotic exoskeleton but also illustrated the tangible impact it can have on people’s mobility and independence.
One of the main objectives of our participation at ISCoS 2024 was to raise awareness about the role of robotic exoskeletons in rehabilitation. With our exoskeleton, we aim to democratize access to mobility solutions that were previously out of reach for many people with disabilities. We believe that combining advanced technology with real-world needs is key to creating a future where everyone has the opportunity to enhance their quality of life.
During the congress, our team was able to discuss with healthcare professionals the benefits of robotic rehabilitation, particularly its impact on bone density, muscle strength, and patient autonomy. Many attendees expressed interest in exploring these innovations further, and we were thrilled to engage in in-depth discussions and exchange ideas on the latest advancements in SCI care.
